Alliance Radiation Oncology at Anna Jaques Hospital Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Cancer Center Commemorates a Decade of Care

Alliance Oncology, a division of Alliance HealthCare Services, a leading national provider of outsourced healthcare services, announced that one of their cancer care centers, Alliance Radiation Oncology at Anna Jaques Hospital, recently celebrated ten years of treating cancer patients in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and the surrounding communities.

Located on the campus of Anna Jaques Hospital, Alliance Radiation Oncology offers advanced, high-quality treatment for a wide variety of cancers and medical conditions using the latest radiation therapy technology.  Over the past decade, more than 40,000 treatments have been administered at the center.

In addition to delivering superb treatments, the team at Alliance Radiation Oncology at Anna Jaques Hospital ensures comfort and confidence in the care they provide to cancer patients.  Their board-certified specialists, physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and nursing staff provide custom treatment plans and resources that address each patient’s unique needs.

“We are extremely proud that our radiation oncologists on staff, Dr. Claire Fung and Dr. Daphna Spiegel, are Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP),” said Tammy Miron, Site Manager for Alliance Radiation Oncology at Anna Jaques Hospital.  “These affiliate relationships allow for expanded health care at the community level and close to patients’ homes.”  Tammy went on to further note that, “To help with the continuity of care for our patients, Dr. Spiegel not only treats patients in Newburyport, but see patients three days a week in Boston and Dr. Fung attends and is on the cancer committee at Lawrence General Hospital.”

To commemorate the milestone anniversary, the site hosted a party for all staff, fellow Alliance Oncology support service Team Members, hospital partners, the Alliance Oncology senior leadership team, and several others who have played an integral role in the success of Alliance Radiation Oncology at Anna Jaques Hospital.

Everyone gathered at the picturesque Blue Ocean Event Center, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, to celebrate.  Speakers for the evening included Doug McCracken, President, Alliance Oncology, Kevin Kilday, CFO, Anna Jaques Hospital, Stuart Berman, M.D., Medical Director, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Tammy Miron, and Claire Fung, M.D., who delivered a special celebratory toast.
